Burst the phone with VoipBuster!

I have been beta testing VoipBuster for about a week now and it has been working fine. It is very easy to install and use. The graphic user interface design is very simple and i kind of like that, its like simplicity that works. The audio quality has been very good both for PC to PC and PC to phone calls. The biggest feature though is the free PC to phone calls. One can call regular phones in several european countries, USA, Cannada , China, Taiwan, Australia and Isreal for free. The rates to other countries are also about the lowest i have seen so far. Free calls are limited to 1 minute per call if you have no credit in your account but as soon as you buy a credit of at least 1 euro you can make unlimited free PC to phone calls. Once you buy 1 euro worth of credit you also get a free telephone number that can be called from any phone in the world just like SkypeIN number in skype. I live in germany so i got a german number but i have also contacted the developers to include the possibility of getting a number from another country other than the country of residence. The audio quality has been so good that most of the people i have called with it did not notice the fact that i am calling from the internet. The problems i have discovered so far are the fact that it sometimes takes longer to get connected to the server and also you have to enter your contacts on every PC that you use. I think these problems can be fixed easily. If you like to try out voipbuster just click on the links on this post or the figure above ( from voipbuster webpage) to download it. So lets keep bursting.

I just installed the VoipBuster, registerd the account, started the application, got the message "ready to make calls", dialed my first number to a landline in Canada in the format +17809999999 and..... nothing happens... no sound nothing...
So I changed the number to 0017809999999 and.... absolutely nothing happens...
So much for empty promises...

No sound at all means the application is not yet properly configured for your speaker and microphone. Once that is done. Try again. I have actually called a lot friends in canada with voipbuster and it worked fine.

Hi Bikram,
Your telephone no. will be sent to you by e-mail. I live in germany and i was given a number with dusseldolf city code. So it only depend which country you live in.

OK,
Thanx Solomon&others for your input...
As I have no sound&dialing problems on Skype, i.e. everything's honky dory, I think the problem's elsewhere, not in the config of mike&speakers....
After I posted my first message, I had this "bright" idea about the 1€ credit, which I did not buy yet... Aha.. Did you guys all buy your credit first? That would explain everything... Unfortunately, my bank noped the payment... On the next trial, the voipbuster doesn't give the opportunity to buy 1€ anymore... it's 10€ or more.. I went for 10€... Too bad, once your card is refused for whatever reason, the voipbuster does not allow too use the same card anymore (unlike Skype)... Get yourself another card or don't bother...

Greetings Solomon+everybody else..
I'm Kuhl, the bitching guy...
Finally, I made Voipbuster work... Here's what happened.. The initial installation just did not work + my bank refused payment on first registration attempt+Voipbuster will not accept again a card that ONCE refused payment... But I got another card (same bank though..) I completely removed voipbuster using ghosting backup. Reinstalled with new identity.. and registered with the 2nd card... This time the application seemed to react... e.g. buttons reacted on pressing etc.. After a few hicupps and a reboot suddendly it WORKED... And it worked very well too. Excellent sound on pair with the best of SKYPE that did not falter even on calls lasting more than one hour.. Then I went to work and made a demo to my fellow co-workers using MY ID.. Everybody got thrilled... So we tried another install with a brand new id.. Too bad, this time everything got screwed time and time again.. It insisted that an id we just created did not exist..
And today it's Saturday, and the sound got much worse+some calls are dropped before they are initiated... Sometimes the sound I hear is nearly completely mangled beyond recognition, while the other party says the sound is good, sometimes it's the reverse...
To sum up... it's a beta release... the bugs are there but it's very promising...also Voipbuster seems to gobble far less resources than Skype for the same sound quality...
What else to say? Tank you very much Solomon for alerting me on Skype forum to this excellent app... I hope my remarks can be usefull to you and the other readers...

I´ve been using voipbuster for my outgoing calls for a couple of months now - seems to go great most of the time. SIP devices can also be setup with the service.

hi, i'm new to voipbuster and it looks great but the reason i got it was to hook it up to dishnetwork receivers. How do i get that to work. Ive hooked it up to the phone line and can make calls but the receiver says check the connection. im from the us and there are no #s available right now is that why im having problems. Do i need an incoming telephone #.
