12Voip Launched with Free Unlimited Calls to 50 Countries.
Betamax has launched another voip application nicknamed 12Voip. It looks much like other betamax voip applications such as voipcheap, voipbuster etc. It can be downloaded free from 12voip.com and its very easy to install and use. Users of 12Voip can call worldwide at extremelly low rates. The major difference between 12voip and other betamax voip clients is that you have to pay now to make unlimited free calls though it cost just 10 euros( $13 )to make unlimited free calls to 50 countries for 3 months, which i consider a good deal when compared to other providers. I have signed up and make free trial calls and i can report that the audio quality is quite good and the calls connect without any problem. Paying a fixed amount to make free unlimited calls to popular destinations seems to be the new besiness model of Betamax and i wont be suprised to see them extend this to other voip clients like voipbuster, voipcheap, internetcalls etc. Before now you only need to top up your credit to enjoy 300 minutes per week of free calls to those destinations.
This i believe is a better approach to offer voip service than keep changing the name of your voip clients in other to force users to pay another minimum credit to make free calls which is the method betamax adopted before now. Betamax rates are still comparativelly low and people will still use there service if they charge a fixed amount per month for free calls.

this service is a fraud, when you buy credit you never will call for free even the destination adertised as free.
They don't reply to emails so avoid it
Do NOT use 12voip. It is a fraud. Although you pay 10euros plus 2.5 extra euros as VAT for 90 days of unlimited free calls to the free destinations, then they ask you to buy credit. They also never reply to e-mails. Avoid it!
...the same happened to me. IT'S A FRAUD. Stay away from it, please.

Nao usem 12Voip. Eh de fato uma fraude. Mas como fiz atravez do Paypal, e sou uma cliente antiga, vou informar a eles. Enviei um segundo email. Se eles nao me responderem ate amanha vou falar com Paypal.
Do not use 12Voip. It's a total fraud. But I used Paypal (I am an old cliente with them). I have sent them a second email. If they don't reply by tomorrow, I will contact Paypal.
same happen to me here do not buy credit from them they are a fraud they take your money and laught in your face too someone should put a stop to this people. isnt there anything that can be done to close down those companys. betamax should be ashame of doing this.. DO NOT USE 12VOIP!!!! I went to their only clone (voip buster) that has a forum to warn people about the 12 voip lie cause voip buster advertice them contantly and my post were being deleted faster than i can even write them they know they are stealing.!!

I opened a dispute in Paypal, now I demand a refund!
I bought 3 months freedays credits from 12voip just for making calls to Turkey, in your promotion u claimed that
we could make 90 days freecalls to those countries in the list, after I bought freedays, Turkey was taken from the list,
it is so ridicilous as you claimed that I could make 3 months of free calls. Now I dont get the service you are suppoesed
to provide, I have 83 days of free calls, and it is just useless as I can not make calls to Turkey. I have a strong feeling that
I was cheated by your company.
Just want to make it clear that 12voip or other betamax products are not in anyway associated with this blog and 12voip is not my product or have anything to do with this blog whatsoever. I used the products and i share my experience with my readers thats all.
I have written in lots of my post that betamax besiness methods are totally unreliable. Taken off a country from the list of free destinations is a thing they do very often and there is nothing the consumer can do. They also have no customer support and i have mentioned that fact on the blog times without normal.
They have good voice quality and the lowest rates in the market, infact i used voipcheap everyday but one must exersice caution when using betamax products.
I have been jumping from one betamax voip app to the next for ages now.
You can get a good deal as long as you check each voip client before buying new credit. (Unfortunately there's no way of predicting if the country you want to call is going to be removed from the list)
The most recent change was freecall and 12voip selling freecall time and credit seperately
The difference is this:-
Freecall - You pay 25 Euros for 10 Euro Credit and 60 freedays
Voipcheap.com - You Pay 10 Euros for 10 Euro Credit and 90 freedays
Voipcheap.co.uk are still giving freetime with credit but the freecall counrty list isn't so good (for me).
I'm convinced they change the prices around like this just to catch out people who don't want the hassle of doing the research and changing programs. They are all run by the same company afterall!
The biggest hassle from changing is moving all your contacts over to the new app.
You have to create a new account, because you can't access your freecall.com account through another Betamax app like voipcheap.com

Unlike most others here, we've had good experience with webcalldirect, which is another of the many Betamax/Finaera products. The service has been good, and voice quality fine. However it is true that they do not reply to emails, and they charge a paypal handling fee + VAT even if you are VAT registered and should not be paying the VAT. If there's any fraud then it is that.
If you use sip clients (as opposed to connecting via the website) then the free destinations *are* 100% free, and the prices are very low elsewhere, so I don't see this as any fraud other than the VAT issue. It's also been a totally reliable service over a few months of usage.
There is a price comparison table across all their offerings here that may be useful.
Sometimes a free destination may no longer be free for one of their services while free on another, and this happened to mobiles for several countries. This may be one way that they get people to shift between their services. However you can't really argue with their pricing in general and they do need to make money at some point to support the free services.

Friends,
Nowadays lot of people are started using betamax voip products to
make cheap calls to India.
Voipbuster,voipcheap,justvoip,12voip,and many more voip products
belongs to a same parent company - betamax.com
Call rates are so cheap.
But plz. note that nowadays there are lot and lot of complaints on
betamax products. Remember that I'm the one who has recommended these products in our thaindian.com in the very beginning itself.
For example, many of my frieds, signed up with justvoip and 12voip
and paid 10 Euros. After they made calls for 1 or 2 days, their
account got bloced and whenever they r trying to make calls, it
shows "Call ended due to an unknown error".
They sent so many emails, faxes to the customer service (?!) of
betamax. The worst thing is there is no proper business contact
addresses published in their websites. Plz. check it out. Is that a
good way of doing business? I don't think so.
So if you are going to purchase credits through their website,
please think well before doing it through your credit card.
If somebody got affected already due to this error, don't waste your
time by sending emails to that betamax. They'll not reply for sure.
Instead, call your credit card company. File a complaint. Within a
week, these betamax prople return back the FULL money regardless of
your usage till that time.
Take-care while using betamax products. My suggestion is better
avoid them.
my experience is totally different...i have been using 12voip for the past 2 years and it is working flawless..never had a bad experience with regard to purchase of calling credits..donno why many say they had bad experience...initially i used to buy credits using my credit card...later that facility was withdrawn and i had to recharge through resellers, which was tedious...now anyway they have updated the purchase options with paypal and many other options...

I have been using Betamax product for at least two years.
Calls I make from Brazil to USA lad and mobile' are perfect, but if I start making call Brazil to brazilian landlines often, free calls finishs very quickly and they start charging for the calls.
In the begining I could make several calls before getting charded, nao after a dozen calss a week they charge. It' not good any more!!!
There is no Customer Service at all!!!!
