JAJAH buttons removed from eBay listings
Not long ago JAJAH introduced new widgets to help eBay listers to use them on their listings pages. The simple idea of inserting the widget is allow JAJAH users to talk directly to the seller just by a click of the widget.
It seems the fact that eBay owns JAJAH competitor Skype is behind this quick decision, Well, left alone, I would conclude its true. A report by Amy-Mae Elliott of the Pocket-lint site states that "Overnight, the auction giant has taken down all listings that contained JAJAH Buttons that auction holders had put up since the widgets launched,"
Amy also noted in an e-mail from eBay to sellers using JAJAH, that: "The listing was removed because it violated the eBay Inappropriate Links policy … links or other connections to live chat systems are not permitted."
In a different development JAJAH co-founder Roman Scharf says his company is seeking clarification from eBay. He further went ahead to say “I think I already know what that clarification ought to be: we overpaid for Skype, it isn’t integrating well, so we need to protect our investment by nuking our competitors out of our neighborhood”.
