World’s First Free SIP-VoIP Application for iPod Touch Released by Touchmods
Claiming that it is the world's first free SIP-VoIP application for the iPod Touch, Touchmods has announced the release of its version 1.0 SIP-VoIP for the iPod Touch which allows its users to make VoIP calls via a WiFi connection without having to go through much trouble that is often encountered from such connection.
Though, lacking a microphone or any other audio input inlet, Touchmods has adequately made provision for that by releasing instructions for building such and can be easily attached to the device's dock connector by simply following the step-by-step set up instruction.
However, for users who might find the set up quite cumbersome, the company is working on an alternative method which is the provision of a £22 bespoke iPod Touch microphone.
Touchmods also said that its software is compatible with a range of VoIP providers and with the Asterisk-open-source IP PABX.
