3CX Releases VoIP PBX Software
3CX, a developer of telecommunications software did a calculated gambling of the timing of the release of this software and it comes only 20 weeks after its predecessor, a time-scale not previously possible with traditional PBX systems.
The version 6.0 phone comes with about 10 new features and they include call conferencing for up to 32 participants, paging, intercom capability and support for Windows 2008.
Commenting on the product, CEO at 3CX, Nick Galea said "With our new Windows 2008 support, organizations can virtualized the PBX and run a phone system without the need for an appliance or an extra server. This means lower administration costs, no extra hardware and less energy consumption."
Besides the great features that accompanied this product, the designed has been made in such a way to ease installation as well as configuration which makes it very simple to be used and managed. It is available in four editions: Small Business, Pro, Enterprise and Free 3CX, all of which support an unlimited number of extensions.
