BroadSoft and Comdasys Complete Interoperability Validation for Comdasys FMC Solution
BroadSoft, Inc., (www.broadsoft.com), the leading provider of VoIP application software, and Comdasys AG, (www.comdasys.com), a leading and trusted supplier of fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) solutions for enterprises and service providers, announced today that the two companies have completed interoperability validation between BroadSoft’s BroadWorks® VoIP application platform and the Comdasys FMC product line.
In addition to its award-winning FMC solution, the Comdasys Convergence and Convergence GW network appliances allow enterprises to securely connect branch offices. They also allow hosted service providers to securely and reliably deliver their applications and services to small, medium and large offices.
“The Comdasys FMC Solution provides a one-number solution coupled with the ability to access PBX services in the office, at home and on the road with one handset,” said Stefano Genoni, a Business Development executive at Comdasys. “Achieving interoperability with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks platform enhances the value of our offering, and allows Comdasys to leverage BroadSoft’s reseller network. We believe that with the Comdasys FMC Solution, BroadSoft service providers will now have the most compelling, valuable option available for providing FMC hosted services to small- and medium-sized customers.”
"The Comdasys FMC Solution has successfully completed BroadSoft’s thorough interoperability testing program," said Robert Weidenfeller, Vice President of Engineering for BroadSoft®. "Their solution becomes another validated option for BroadSoft customers who want to extend FMC functionality to end-users.”
The Comdasys FMC Solution has two components:
* The Comdasys FMC Controller is an all-in-one network appliance and includes a multi-service router, a session border controller with voice security enhancements, QoS and FMC voice applications.
* The MC Client is software that resides on the mobile user's dual-mode handset and works with the Comdasys FMC Controller. The MC Client allows users to freely roam between Wi-Fi (enterprise/residential/public) and cellular networks. Today Comdasys supports all Nokia dual-mode phones. The Comdasys FMC Solution can also be deployed as a cost-effective DECT replacement.
